SV Microwave offers a great variety of SMPM bullet connectors. Similar to the SMP bullet, these connectors are 20% smaller and have frequency ranges up to 65GHz. The SMPM connector was developed to meet the need for a smaller high frequency connector than the SMP.
Like the SMP, the SMPM bullet is the heart of this miniature design. The SMPM connector is designed to allow the joining of two RF modules by captivating the bullet between the two shrouds. The mounting method allows for higher density of connectors and by design the SMPM bullet allows for misalignment to compensate for tolerance stack up. With higher withdrawal forces on the full detent shroud, the SMPM bullet has become a standard for quick and effective interconnects using both semi-rigid and flexible cables. The "Push-on" design allows the installer to mate connectors without the need for threads or wrenches.
The SMPM connector is designed to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-348 and, therefore, is intermatable with other industry standard SMPM under other names such as GPPO™. Today's industry requires both innovation and flexibility, and the SMPM bullet connector meets that challenge.
